Turkey Lift hosts three Iran shorts

Izmir Historical Lift in Turkey has served as shooting place for three short films by Iran helmer Rouhollah Hejazi.  

While attending 'Days of Iran Films' program at Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey, Hejazi came up with the idea of the three shorts.

He said, "The story started out as a brainstorm for a love story taking place in Izmir Historical Lift."

He added that he turned the ideas coming from students into three five-min short films.  

Built in 1907, Izmir Historical Lift (Izmir Asansör) is a historical building in Izmir's Karatas quarter, Turkey.

Born in 1979, Rouhollah Hejazi directed his first short film 'Start' in 1995.

Besides several television works, he made his debut feature 'Among the Clouds' (2008) which went on to win several awards in international film festivals.
